Ho trovato la trasposizione inglese delle regole EPA di quest'anno
anche loro limitano rivestimenti e rinforzi sul bordo d'attacco !
hanno introdotto il peso max e dei bonus per biplani e multimotori

ecco quello che ho trovato :



For thoose interested in flying combat - here is my translation of ESA rules.
(ESA - Electric Simple AirCombat)

1. Model
Must be semiscale of real plane in production in years 1935-1945.In case there was a prototype there had to be minimum 50 of them made.
Width - 700 - 860 mm for single motor
760 - 1000mm for multi motor
Other sizes in scale +/- 30mm

Model can be made of all kind of foams (EPP,polistyren,styrodur,depron)

You can't use any carbon,glass other reinforcement on leading edges - must be clear.


All model must be made of soft materials.


2. Motor
Any motor lighter than 55g (without spinner, proppeler, mount, cables)


3. Lipo
For single motor:
3s - 1350mAh - max
2S - 1800mAh - max
For multimotor:
3S - 2500mah
Using Ni-CD and NiMh is allowed

4. Propellers
Any to suit motor

5. Model weight
Single motor - min 200g - max 380
Multi motor max 450g

6. Extra points for
max. + 75 points for multi motor
max. + 75 points for biplane


7. Streamer
Length 10m width 10mm from crepe paper.

8.Flying field - depends of space
9. Flying time:
To be set before 1st. flight between 5 and 7 min


10. Changing plane.
Contestant can't change plane during the battle, he can do it only between battles.
Any amount of planes is allowed.
Changin battery is not allowed durring a battle.
During battle colecting of plane is allowed from flying field only after referee's agree, and after informing other pilots.

11. Scoring

* avoiding battle : - 50 p (points)
* Crossing safety lane: - 150 p - (after 2 crossing - disqualification)
* Streamer protection : + 50 p
* Collision : 0 p
* Cut : + 100 p
* Every 3 sec of flying : +1 p
* multimotor : +75 p
* Biplane : + 75 p
* Maximum extra points: max +75 p
Highest score - wins.
Usually there is 3 rounds.
Remember - safety first !!!
There are possible combinations of above - the main point is to have fun - so there can be everybody against everybody else, team plaing, protection of VIP (very important plane ) target bombing, or if you have suicaidal tendencies - kamikaze
This is my translation just to give you an idea whats going on with ESA.
It is bit different to contact combat.
