Jumper T16: prime impressioni e prove

arrivo qui sul forum in seguito al tentativo di installare opentx direttamente con companion (ho provato con va versione nightly e anche la release candidate). Non ci sono riuscito.

Penso di provare (stasera) con la solita procedura di aggiornamento firmware dalla radio, con il file scaricato dal sito di jumper (po provo ad aggiornare con companion).
c'è già opentx-2.3.3RC2

The firmware ha il tuo modulo interno o esterno?
Deve esser superiore o uguale a v.1.2.1.85 altrimenti và aggiornato con USB-to-serial adapetr.

Considerate che JumperTX è morto,
e quindi passare a OpenTX è indispensabile comunque.

A tal proposito è uscito un comunicato JumperXYz:

Recently, many T16 owners are asking for how to update their radio from JumperTX into openTX.



Firstly, we'd like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to openTX team and Pascal Langer. Many thanks for your great job!



And to update your T16 from JumperTX into openTX:

1) Please check the version of your JP4IN1 module at the page of T16 model set up. Any module that is under version V1.2.1.85 will need to update it into the version V1.2.1.85 or above.

How to update the module firmware:

1) If you are still using external JP4IN1, you can connect the module with USB to PC and update the firmware.

2) If you are having internal JP4IN1, and the version is under V1.2.1.85, you'll need a USB-to-serial adapter.

USB-to-serial adapter, if you can't find the adapter in a local shop:

1) Jumper will offer the adapter free of charge. And you'll be in charge of the shipping cost.

2) You'll able to find the adapter on Jumper Aliexpress store. We'll share the link of the adapter on Facebook once it is available. Estimate in 2 - 3 weeks.

3) We'll need photos of your T16 S/N# and the screenshot of the module version before sending the adapter.

Last but not least, the firmware update is not needed if the radio is working all good. Only proceed if you know what you are doing. Updating firmware incorrectly may void the warranty.
