Zappare le pile

Salve a tutti, mi sono appena registrato al forum.
Ho sentito parlare di ''Zapping'' alle batterie.Non ho però la + pallida idea di che si tratti.
c'è qualcuno che gentilmente mi spiega che tipo di processo è?-come si fa?-con cosa si fa?-su che tipo di pile si fa? [...]

da una rapida ricerca in Internet ho trovato questo:

"Zapping and matching are really only worth it if you're going to use the packs in competition, where even a .5% increase in performance could mean the difference between first and last place.

To zap a cell, you get some big capacitors, a bunch of 0 gauge welding cable, a copper hammer, and a copper plate. You hook the capacitors together, wire them to the hammer and plate, charge the capacitors, connect the battery into the circuit, and whack the plate with the hammer. The cables twitch from the current, and zzzzap!, the cell is zapped.

It's actually pretty dangerous, and I've only given a general outline of the process because I've never been able to find out the exact size of the capacitors, or what voltage to charge them to.

Matching the cells simply means matching their voltages when they're new out of the box. A vendor takes a case of cells, and sorts them by resting voltage fresh out of the box. Just because you get a "matched" set of cells does not mean you got the best cells. The lowest 6 cells are just as "matched" as the highest 6 cells."

L'ho scritto per rispondere... non significa che lo approvi.... anche secondo me è una.... cavolata.... il modo migliore per farsi scoppiare una lipo in faccia

Premesso che non si fa con le LiPo ma si fa(ceva) con le NiCd prima e con le NiMh dopo, il sistema -chiamato a seconda dei gusti "ZAP" o "PUSH"- funzionava perchè lo scorrimento di altissime correnti nella cella fondeva fra loro i vari punti di contatto diminuendo la RI -Resistenza Interna- della cella e favorendo così la capacità di rilasciare scariche più elevate.
