Profile of wing - standard Yak type Clark YH with relative thickness of 14% at root & 7% at wing end. For comparison, Yak-1, Yak-7 & Yak-9 have 15% at root & 8% at wing end. Wing had metal framework - spars, ribs & plywood sheathing. Like on Yak-9, covering was glued to special plywood strips, fastened to metal framework using rivets. Combat use experience showed that such joint is not strong enough.
