We are a few friends from Ireland and the UK, we want to visit beautiful Italy in the summer 2014 to do some flying!
The problem is that we are not sure where to go! We are told that there is good flying in the Alps around Folgario / Trentino area (it seems Hotel Sayonara in Folgaria caters well for RC flyers). Others say that conditions for good flying (% of days suitable for flying) are much less in the Alps, than down in the middle areas (particularly Monte Vettore has been recommended as a slope that has a very good % of "flyable" days).
Any thoughts would be very welcome!

You would probably rent a car for travelling from airport to the slope, so why not think about spending some time in Folgaria-Polsa-Margone, all within a bit more than half an hour of travel from Folgaria, and Alpe di Siusi , more than an hour, and than take a long trip, 400 hundred km, to Catria and Vettore ?
