Ragazzi questa è grossa: mi hanno chiesto del Galaxy... pensate un pò: da Rio de Janeiro!
Eccovi il testo della lettera con le mie risposte:
Dear Sirs,
From the mid 60's to the mid 80's I used to fly many types of RC planes (from Cox Tee-Dees ones to 4 cylinders 4 cycle OS and 100cc gas engines monsters), including F3A pattern planes. My first F3A was a Kwik-Fly 3 and the last one a Galaxy (landing slots on top of the wing, .60 OS rear exhaust engine, tuned pipe, Rhom air retracts and Futaba PCM radio). It was a great flying and the most beautiful pattern plane I ever had!
I'm considering going back to RC flying and quickly looked into some forums after a Galaxy and saw you are now remaking a kit for it.
- Do you have a more ARF kit?
Noooo! We hate them! ;-)
- What does it cost, plus freight to Rio de Janeiro - Brazil?
Consulting "Poste Italiane" site cost for Rio depend by weight. Until 3 Kgs is 55 (77 $), over is 80 (112$). 77$ may be the real cost, I hope.
- What do you recommend for modern engines, pipes, retracts, props (I used to like Zingers), spinners, etc. and where should I look for them (as I live in Brazil and getting stuff from the US is easier for me);
I recommend a Rossi Engine like original, that u can find in USA too. Plane
- The rear exhaust looked great, but always made a BIG mess of the tail areas of the plane, would not a modern electric motor be a viable alternative and just as fast?
ELECTRIC MOTOR?!?! No oil? Nothing to clean? SIlence? Gilbert, this plane is a hard men stuff! ;-))) hehhheehehehe!
Any help you can give me would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Abraços / Regards,
XXXXX XXXXXXX
Ciao!

Ah, dimenticavo: il tipo è il vice presidente per il Sudamerica di una delle maggiori compagnie petrolifere del pianeta, mica pizza e fichi!
Franco Sala avrà di che essere contento!
