"Frankly I was surprised at the way it performed. Dave Wilde and I have flown this model many times with Wren MW44 and also with the Super Sport, and we were expecting it to appear very underpowered. The takeoff roll was not long and the plane jumped into the air. It was a bit tail heavy and this affected the takeoff and flight as Steve struggled a bit with it.The plane had a pleasant noise not unlike a quiet turbine and it had a good turn of speed. There was plenty of power for loops and rolls.
Interesting now that turbines, Ducted fan and EDF can power the same plane! The weight is very similar for all 3 configurations except the turbine version will be heavier at takeoff and lighter when landing compared to the EDF version."
