The Velocity motor is a 10 magnet pole motor. Ten magnets is a lot easier on ESC than a 12 or 14 pole motor.
I tested the Velocity on 3s with APC 4.1x4.1 prop using the Turnigy Plush 60A ESC, you will need to set the start mode to super soft and timing must be set to high.
This will allow the ESC to run this powerful motor flawlessly.
